This weekend, MZ headed to Little Rock for Kirk and Kim’s Wedding. Kirk and MZ went to college together at the U of A and I’ve gotten to know and love Kim and Kirk through tailgating for Razorback games! Their wedding ceremony and reception was held at the Arkansas Arts Center in downtown Little Rock. All of it was absolutely beautiful! One of MZ’s favorite parts was the mini pizza, as he loves all things pizza! Instead of a grooms cake, there was a gelatto bar, which was also super tasty! We all danced the evening away! After the reception we headed down town with Darla and Kevin (also some of MZ’s friends from college). We wanted to watch the rest of the Cubs game, so we went to Gusano’s – unfortunately they lost, so we moved on. I’m not sure the name of the place where we ended up – and yes, I know that’s probably a bad sign. But we had a blast regardless, really, do you need to know where you are as long as you get home safely! I think not!
Congratulations to Dr. Kirk and Dr. Kim!
Fun in Second City

Saturday, Mike and I walked to Wrigley Field and bought t-shirts to prove we were there and headed the 3.6 miles home – we did alot of walking and hailed a cab about halfway back… Saturday night was the wedding – the whole reason we were there… it was so wonderful! The entire affair was at Carnivale, a Cuban restaurant in the downtown area. Everything was bright colors and pop art and it really illustrated the creativity and passion of Tom and Stephanie. Stephanie even made her own wedding cake – it was gorgeous! We ate and drank and drank some more and danced the night away.
Sunday was a rude awakening in that we had to go back to reality and drive 10 hours back to Fayetteville – it wasn’t too bad – it helps to travel with more than 2 people so that everyone can nap. We made it home safe and sound right about 12:31 – precisely as predicted by Lane.
I really loved Chicago! Although I may have other things to say about it had it been the middle of winter.
Happy 1 year Anniversary to Liz and Chad!!!

B-C Wedding
Brad and Jennifer got married on April 19th at the Ozark Mountain Smoke House – it was pretty much the perfect wedding for two really great people.
Ari and her “Little Black Dress Brigade” did all the planning and décor and it was of course beautiful! Sorry for the late post and CONGRATULATIONS to both of you! Of course we wen’t out afterwards and we can’t go the night without doing shots!
3 weeks and counting…
Well I’m really pretty proud of myself – I haven’t had a coke in 3 weeks!
So what’s been going on…
- Valentine’s Day was great! Mike sent me some beautiful flowers in a really cool vase which apparently was the selling point! But they were all very pretty together. We went to dinner at Tapinazo’s which was good but we definately think its more of a warm weather place where we can sit on the patio. Then we went to Stir to celebrate Lane’s birthday.
- Saturday night was the Stock the Bar Party – Olive Us Are Getting Together for Brad and Jennifer! It was a BLAST! Everyone had a fabulous time and we polished off way too much alcohol – who is surprised
- Bible Study ended on Monday night which is good and not so good – Good because I never really got into this study and bad because that was really the only time I got to see all the Benton County girls… we’ll have to make time with out Beth Moore.
Pregnant Friend Tally has increased by two – Melanie and Leigh are both due in late August – nothing wrong with Virgo babies!
This weekend is Jennifer’s Bachelorette Party in Kansas City – it should be just as fun… Erin has done a great job at pulling everything together.
Ok so that’s my update… more soon!
